On May 23 2025 Cleanery was named winner of the Kiwibank “Most Innovative Hi-Tech Solution for a More Sustainable Future Award” at the 2025 Hi-Tech Awards in Wellington.
Now in its 30th year, the NZ Hi-Tech Awards celebrate the country’s most successful and forward-thinking technology companies. We were honoured to be recognised alongside other incredible finalists in our category — CarbonCrop, Neocrete, Zincovery and Polynatural — and winning the award was an especially proud moment for our team.

Cleanery was founded to completely reimagine how household cleaning and personal care products are made and used, removing the waste, emissions and nasty ingredients that have long been considered unavoidable in the category.

Not an easy challenge! This required significant innovation, not just in product development, but also in how we manufacture. We built our own scalable, proprietary production systems and developed powder formulations that are stable, efficient to ship, and dissolve instantly in water. It’s a unique model designed to support both environmental and commercial sustainability.
